Interlocking, irregular, rectangular forms float over a hillside site. Anchored by a terrace and pool, spilling downhill into a spa and bath, which then directly flows into the master bath. Spaces fold or lap, one into the other. Sensuous, contemporary and private, the forms, by turns both solid and transparent and deceptively simple, carefully frame views and screen neighbors without intrusion. Tectonically, the foundation system is also non-invasive: a series of piers support the structure and limit the need for retaining walls. The site is left intact with native flora.
