This condominium complex varies from two to three stories and contains 24 units, ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet.
Exquisite rock work was incorporated into the design with traditional horizontal cedar siding and steep gabled roofs. These are not merely traditional forms found in mountain resort towns but lend themselves to blend visually with the tall trees and majestic peaks of the surrounding mountains. Every unit has a beautiful view of the scenic Payette River flowing around the perimeter of the site.
River’s Bend is located in one of the heavy snowbelts of Idaho. The designers utilized specific methods in handling problems caused by such heavy snow loads. Cold roofs, multiple gables, and covered walks were some of the solutions incorporated into the project in order to protect the lower portion of the building and, more importantly, the occupants and guests, from snow slides and icicles.
