Trout Architects/Chartered has provided space planning, construction documents and administrative services to the City of Boise since 1990. Projects required redesigning the entry lobby and renovation of the basement, first, second, third and fourth floors while maintaining viable workspaces for the city’s employees. The second floor remodel is pictured.
Through properly programmed office plans and design elements such as angular counters and furniture, signage, color and lighting details, Trout Architects was able to transform the workplace into desirable offices providing comfort, security and dignity to the valuable work force of the City.
These projects were comprised of more than fifteen individual remodels, each project with its own budget and time constraints. All projects were dependent on the adjacent project’s completion and move-in date. Therefore, scheduling of projects and phases was paramount to a successful overall project. Most all projects were completed under the design bid/build method. All projects were completed to the satisfaction of Boise City in terms of money and time, as well as design.
