The new facility designed by Trout Architects includes underground parking and was constructed to meet the growing needs of numerous Blaine County departments.
Melding this new construction with the existing historic courthouse, County campus and historic fabric of Hailey was important to the design team of Trout Architects and provided much of the focus in site placement, massing and facade design.
Another major design factor was to provide a healthy working environment to the occupants through the correct choice of building orientation, systems and materials. Both the building and furnishings are environmentally conscious and green design techniques have been employed throughout. These include energy efficient, low toxicity materials with high insulation values. Recycled building materials were used together with annually renewable building products.
