Boise State University faces continued growth as it evolves from a commuter college to a four-year university. Trout Architects was hired to help meet the need for student housing. The 2.3-acre urban site turns inward to a courtyard and community building providing a safe gathering area for students and their children.
The 66 apartments are divided into five, three story buildings. Oversized windows frame foothill views, stairways with balconies, provide covered play areas, simple gable forms combine to create an attractive, unified complex.
