Trout Architects were retained to help restore the Boise Basin Mercantile into a functioning and safe building.
The oldest portion of this building comprised of many additions, was constructed in 1865 which is thought to be one of the oldest brick mercantile buildings in Idaho. Over the years there has been pour maintenance, improper repairs, and sloppy construction. A through analyses was completed and design solutions were developed. The restoration of this project will be accomplished in multiple phases.
